Suspendu au sol

Four contemporary dancers do the jig for the first time

Four contemporary dancers do the jig for the first time, generating sounds and setting aside the canons of tradition. The eyes will see contemporary dance; the ears will recognize the jig. The artists wish to suspend time by examining the relationship between different bodies. These worlds that brush up against each other in the exploration of folklore – without ever displaying the virtuosity of the jigger – leave no room for censorship.

“The eyes will see contemporary dance; the ears will recognize the jig.”

– Marco Pronovost, Tangente Curator
